After months of uncertainty surrounding permits and a canceled 2025 season, the owners of Brooklyn Mirage and Avant Gardner have filed for a demolition permit covering 32,000 square feet of temporary structures at the East Williamsburg complex, according to city records first reported by The Real Deal. The Filing at a Glance Scope:  The application seeks a “full demolition” of roughly 32,000 sq. ft.  within the broader Avant Gardner property (approximately 80,000 sq. ft. total). Status:  The filing was recorded with NYC’s Department of Buildings (DOB) on October 10 , 2025. Context:  Avant Gardner entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy  in August, and a hearing for the sale’s approval is scheduled for October 22 .
