Belgian techno queen Charlotte de Witte is set to make Tomorrowland history this year by doing something no artist has done before opening and closing the Mainstage on the same day.

On Saturday, July 19, as part of Tomorrowland’s 19th edition themed ‘LIFE: Orbyz’, Charlotte will kick off the day with a rare Daybreak set at noon, bringing her signature blend of dark, pulsating techno to set the tone early. Then, after a day packed with music across stages, she’ll return to close the Mainstage, delivering what’s expected to be a powerful finale to remember.

For Charlotte, this moment is full-circle. In 2011, she opened the Mainstage after winning a DJ contest a set that marked the beginning of her global rise. In 2022, she became the first female and techno act to close it. Now, in 2025, she’s doing both in one day.
“This year, I’ll be playing on the Mainstage not once, but twice,” Charlotte shared. “It feels like a 360 moment. I really look forward to seeing everyone there twice.”
This performance marks a milestone not only for Charlotte de Witte but for techno’s continued rise onto the biggest global festival stages.
