In the depths of Tulum’s jungle, where ancient stone and tropical canopy hum with ancestral energy, a once-a-year gathering transforms the night into something unearthly. Day Zero is more than a festival it’s a rite of passage, a collision of sound, ceremony, and untamed celebration that draws the underground’s most devoted from across the globe. On January 10, 2026, Damian Lazarus will once again open the portal, unveiling a lineup that turns the jungle into a living stage for the extraordinary.
Weaving together ancestral Mayan heritage and the raw beauty of the jungle, Day Zero transforms Tulum into a surreal intersection of past and future. Monumental art installations rise from the earth, columns of light pierce the canopy, and Mayan ceremonies led by local guides honor centuries of ritual. For one night, the jungle becomes an avant-garde sanctuary where myth and modernity move as one.

The 2026 lineup reflects Lazarus’ uncompromising curatorial vision. Global heavyweights like Mau P, Vintage Culture, Seth Troxler, Traumer, Acid Pauli, Maz, Silvie Loto, and Perel join forces with innovators such as Nicola Cruz, Omri., Indo Warehouse, Superpitcher, Jonathan Kaspar, Lum, Cinthie, Jamiie, Lilya Mandre, and Luch. Each act pushes boundaries while keeping the dance floor at the heart of the experience.

Day Zero also pays tribute to Mexico’s own thriving scene through El Teatro, the pioneering stage dedicated exclusively to Mexican artists. Co-curated by Metrika and Lazarus, it showcases groundbreaking live performances from Metrika (live), Zombie Affair (live), Sidartha Siliceo Project (live), Le President (live), Rigopolar (live), Mental (Dramian & Rebolledo), María Nocheydia, and Puma. This stage serves both as a platform and a celebration of Mexico’s electronic vanguard.
As dawn approaches, Damian Lazarus will lead the festival into its defining moment: his iconic sunrise session. Fusing rare reworks, fearless edits, and decades of musical history, his sets embody the very spirit of Day Zero timeless, unifying, and transformative.
Day Zero’s commitment extends beyond music. Through its Crosstown Consciousness program, the festival collaborates with local communities and Mayan leaders to protect the land it inhabits. Sustainability efforts include converting plastic waste into fuel, restoring coral reefs with SOS MARES, funding children’s music education, organizing coastal cleanups, and reforesting across the region.
The 2026 edition also marks a historic expansion: Day Zero Milagres, Brazil, taking place on January 3, 2026 in São Miguel dos Milagres. This new chapter brings the spirit of Day Zero to Brazil’s emerald jungles and turquoise shores, blending Indigenous heritage, local artistry, and global sounds in a powerful new setting.
Day Zero is not just an event it is a sacred refuge, a living ritual where sonic energy, natural wonder, ancient tradition, and cultural reverence converge. To step inside its world is to experience something beyond the festival itself a communion of past, present, and future under the eternal skies of Tulum.
