Tomorrowland Officially Announces First-Ever Show in China With “The Magic of Tomorrowland”

Updated: 7 days ago

After years of global expansion and unforgettable shows across Europe, South America, and the Middle East, Tomorrowland is finally heading to China. The iconic Belgian festival has officially announced its debut event in Shanghai, marking a historic first for both the brand and the Chinese electronic music scene.

Titled “The Magic of Tomorrowland,” the event is set to take place on November 22, 2025, at the Hero Dome, an indoor venue located along Shanghai’s scenic Bund waterfront. Unlike its massive outdoor editions in Belgium or Brazil, this will be Tomorrowland’s first-ever fully immersive indoor show, tailored to fit the venue while still offering the world-class visuals, storytelling, and production the brand is known for.

This isn’t just a one-off concert it’s a full experience. “The Magic of Tomorrowland” promises to deliver an indoor spectacle built from the ground up to reflect the brand’s core identity: surreal stage design, next-level lighting, and a sonic journey curated by global dance music legends.

This move into China isn’t just about one event. Tomorrowland has partnered with Hero Esports, INS Land, and Budweiser to bring the experience to life. More importantly, it represents a strategic long-term play in Asia. The newly announced partnership between Tomorrowland’s artist agency, One World Artists, and INS Land will also work to promote cultural exchange—bringing top Chinese electronic music talent to international stages, and bringing more global DJs to China.

Fans can expect a carefully curated lineup combining Tomorrowland's signature international headliners with China’s rising stars. While the official lineup and ticket details are expected to drop in September 2025, early pre-registration has already opened through local Chinese platforms, including WeChat.

With its 2025 debut in Shanghai, Tomorrowland is making a bold statement: this is just the beginning of its journey in Asia. Following the November event in China, the brand has also teased plans to host its first-ever Thailand edition in 2026, further expanding its reach across the continent.

Back in Belgium, the flagship festival returns this July under the 2025 theme “Orbyz,” spanning two massive weekends. But for the fans in Asia and for the global dance music community “The Magic of Tomorrowland” in Shanghai will mark a new chapter in how the festival brings its universe to new corners of the world.
